The community will gather at the Quarry to honor and remember Raynard Hall on October 28.
Ad is for Advertising – Raynard’s professional profession. Clients loved him, creatives loved him, and management loved him. Being a writer at heart made him better at understanding and selling the creative to the client.
B is for Brotherhood – That family kind of love you immediately felt for him, like kindred spirits, like you had known him forever.
C is for Community & Communication & Culture. Raynard loved his community, which was anyplace he hung his hat. He was a long-time member of the South Shore community. He eventually gave up his suit and tie for his dashiki and gave up his haircut for the long dreads that everyone began to know him by.
D is for Denise. The love of his life. He would brag about her. He loved telling the world that she changed his life and made him a new man.
E is for Entrepreneur – Raynard’s love for and belief in entrepreneurship inspired him and Denise to create BronzeComm to promote Black entrepreneurs and Black events.
F is for Fests – The Jazz Fest, the Hyde Park Art Fest, and especially the African Festival of the Arts. He was always there, with his smile, with a joke, with words of encouragement.
G is for Great – Raynard Hall was a great person, a great friend and he will be greatly missed by all.
The staff and family of South Side Drive Magazine wish you bon voyage as you go onto your next adventure.
